Baseball Bat
One key prop we used during our horror trailer was a baseball bat. The bat was used as blunt weapon by one character, to fight zombies. This was important to demonstrate the struggle between the characters and the threats. However it also had the potential to be an iconic weapon in our horror. This tilts a regular horror convention on its head, as the iconic weapon is usually owned by the antagonist, not the protagonist. This is similar to characters from the hit tv show 'The walking dead' (2010) E.G Daryll has a crossbow and Rick has a revolver. These weapons have become symbols of the characters, and we wished to achieve a similar thing with these characters.

Jackets/Hats
Another way we demonstrate individuality in these characters is to use different clothes. The character on the left (Nath) is wearing a thick jacket and hat, the middle character (Steve) is wearing a camo jacket, a black hat and carries the baseball bat, The character on the right is wearing a red jacket and carries a bag. We designed the costumes to look survivalist, with thick clothes to fight weather and to stop zombie attacks. Being as our characters are on the move we wanted them to be carrying as little as possible, so they can move lightly and quickly.

Tattered Zombie clothes
The clothes we used to dress up the zombies were tattered and damaged and dirty. This was to show decay, not only in bodies, but also in the clothing. The tattered clothes obviously highlight a difference in the survivors and the zombies. We wanted the zombies to look as decayed as possible, so that when the cannibals are introduced later in in the story the audience knows the difference between the antagonists. we alos added a layer of clothes underneath to keep our actors warm during the filmning, as the clothes were damp.

Backpack
we needed one of our characters to be carrying some kind of bag or backpack, as it is iconic for survivalists. The bag contains survival essentials, as it holds food, water and medial supplies. Only one member of the group carries the bag, so that the others are freed up to fight off any threats - dead or undead.
