Photoshop experiment Magazine cover
For our magazine cover we decided to take a shot from our trailer. we took a shot that we deemed to be relatively iconic/representative of our trailer to use. We chose our shot and decided to use that as a prototype ir base image to use for a main source of inspiration when we decide to make our final magazine poster cover. We chose this image because it had all of the main characters with quite a scenic background. Although we would not use exactly this picture because it would not be the right size or resolution. When creating our real magazine cover we could recreate this picture and even further improve it to meet the requirements of the poster. If chose a more fitting pose etc.
The first photoshop experiment that we did was to sharpen the image. We also added a background to make the sky more dramatic. The dramatic sky better suited the theme of our trailer. We also made the picture sharper and increased the exposure of the image. This made the scene far more dramatic which suited the theme of a zombie apocalypse.
We decided to use this image as a practice as we took a better and more interesting picture. The picture was of the three boys walking towards the camera opposed to walking away. This showed of there battered and tired faces from battling the apocalypse. It also shows them as the icon of our poster. We used photoshop to edit the sky the same as the pictures above, we also edited the whole image to look slightly darker to make it look more gloomy.
